A bit about my new gig watching baby K.
It’s rewarding, and the hours are long. Mom is a first-year resident, so dad does almost all of the picking up and dropping off of the little one that I watch who was born just this last October. Dad is a fancy financial reporter whose projects have scopes I barely can wrap my head around, and his hours vary depending on where he’s at project-wise.
Last Tuesday was an early day for us. Mom finished on-call (then a nice nap) and picked up baby K for some rare mom-baby time. Dennis, Darren and I found ourselves with some free time at 2 in the afternoon.
What to do?
Have ice cream!
We went to my favorite ice cream place ever, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. In honor of President Obama’s acceptance of the Nobel Peace prize in Oslo last week, I ordered the Oslo Ambrosia Sundae.
Here she is.
